Faith Victory International Church

Privacy Policy

We only ask for information you choose to give us, and we never sell it. This page explains exactly what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and how to get it deleted.

Who we are

Faith Victory International Church (“we”, “the church”) is a registered church in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and is the data controller for the information described on this page.

You can reach us about anything on this page at hello@faithvictory.church or through our contact page.

What we collect

We only hold information you actively submit to us:

  • Prayer requests: your request, and optionally your name and email address if you choose to include them. You may submit a prayer request anonymously by leaving those fields blank.
  • Contact messages: your name, email address, and your message.
  • Event registrations: your name, email address, optionally your phone number, and the number of guests you are bringing.
  • Membership records: if you join the church, our staff may record your name, email address, phone number, postal address, the date you joined, and pastoral notes. These records are created by staff, not through this website.

We do not use analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, or social media trackers on this website. We do not build profiles of visitors, and we do not sell, rent, or trade your information to anyone, ever.

Giving

Our giving page is informational only. It displays a mobile money number and a QR code. It does not collect any payment or personal information, and no giving form is submitted to us. When you send a gift, the transaction happens directly between you and your mobile money provider under their own privacy terms. The church receives only what your provider shows us on the transaction record.

Prayer requests, specifically

Prayer requests are the most sensitive thing we hold, and we treat them that way. A request marked “keep this confidential to the prayer team” is read only by the pastoral staff who serve on that team. It is never published, never read aloud in a service, and never shared with the wider congregation without your explicit permission.

If you would rather we hold nothing at all, submit your request without your name or email. An anonymous request is just as welcome.

Why we're allowed to hold it

For prayer requests, contact messages, and event registrations, our lawful basis is your consent; you chose to fill in the form and send it. You can withdraw that consent at any time by emailing us, and we will delete the submission.

For membership records, our basis is the legitimate interest of running a church and caring pastorally for the people in it.

How long we keep it

  • Prayer requests: up to 12 months, then deleted.
  • Contact messages: up to 12 months, then deleted.
  • Event registrations: until the event has passed and any follow-up is complete.
  • Membership records: for as long as you remain a member, and removed on request when you leave.

Who can see it

Only authorised church staff. Access to our admin dashboard is restricted to a named list of staff accounts, protected by password, and enforced at the database level. An account that is not explicitly authorised cannot read your information even if it can sign in.

Our website is hosted by Vercel and our data is stored with Supabase, who act as our processors and store data on our behalf. We do not share your information with any other third party, and we never share it for marketing.

Cookies

This website sets no advertising or tracking cookies and runs no analytics. The only cookies we use are the strictly necessary sign-in cookies for our staff admin area. They are never set for ordinary visitors browsing the public site. That is why you will not see a cookie banner here: we do not set anything that requires your consent.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it entirely. You can also withdraw consent or object to our holding your information. We will not ask why, and it will not affect your welcome here.

Email hello@faithvictory.church and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to Tanzania’s Personal Data Protection Commission.

Children

This website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If a child has sent us something, email us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant, we will say so from the pulpit and on the website.
